religions blurb...worldview and medical marijuana

One of the nice things bout becoming a Christian is that it comes with a worldview animated by the Old and New Testament...and not much should surprise us. I would call this the "realist" worldview because we think it fits with reality best. Another worldview is the "want-it-to-be" worldview where if you wish for it bad enough and are well meaning enough, it can be so.

Back in 1998 when medical marijuana was legalized in Oregon, it was estimated that 500 people per year would apply. On the radio this morning I heard it is now at 15,000 per year. Now those with a "realist" worldview would predicted this happening...that lots of people who were illegally using would realize they could fudge enough to qualify them for medical marijuana ( it's the only thing that helps my pain doc, I've tried everything).
