culture blurb...used toys no more

After the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act was signed last August, word circulated that the law would prohibit the sale of used children's products that have not been tested and certified.

the law went into effect on Feb 10...

blurbat is an occasional visitor to the Goodwill outlet store. Well, there has been a dramatic change. I was there yesterday and NO TOYS. When I asked what was up..."might have lead" was the response. Nothing can be sold until it has been verified as low lead.

The parking lot had lots fewer cars than normal.
