ChristianityToday gives the new Mummy movie a blistering review: In the end, I found The Mummy: Tomb of the Draggin'—oops, I mean Dragon—Emperor exasperatingly tedious and utterly mindless. I guess I'm not exactly predisposed to your sort of filmmaking. I never saw much of value in The Fast and the Furious, xXx, or Stealth. Your films tend to be intelligence-bereft, second-rate popcorn fare—high octane thrill rides chock full of frenetic but unwatchable action, nonstop computer-generated effects, eardrum busting sound and fury (signifying nothing), and more groan-worthy one-liners than I can shake a mummified leg bone at. And this film's no exception.
