religion blurb...Imago Dei.

Went to a church on Sunday called Imago Dei (The Image of God). I thought of the visit as a field trip from my own church to see what other churches are doing. They did some cool things: They were very very involved in volunteering and outreach to the city they meet in. HIV, prostitutes, single moms, etc., They celebrated communion (taking bread and wine as a remembrance of Jesus) in a unique and refreshing way. The message the pastor gave was very practical, the whole environment was very low key and informal. In summary I learned some things that I can talk about in my own church. In general I am very impressed by the diversity and freshness of many churches that follow Jesus.
