I heard somebody talking last week about things you could put ahead of Jesus as idols. One that he mentioned that I had never thought of was the idol of comfort. The idea is that I so badly want to have an easy life, one that I don't have to work hard or have a lot of anxiety over, that I will make that a higher priority than following Jesus. As soon as the guy said that I thought, that's me. Now I have to start thinking about what to do about it.
