movie reivew...escape from alcatraz

I watched Escape from Alcatraz Friday night. It's about the mastermind of one of the most famous prison escapes in history. The escape plan took nearly seven months to design, and they made clever decoys and water survival gear. Though rated PG, their is a fair amount of cursing...more than I expected for a PG movie. A couple of rear nudity shots. The story was engaging with a musical score that set a mood of nervous tension through out the escape planning. There was less dialogue than typical movies which made the movie a little slower paced then typical nowadays - but it was attention holding throughout. There were a lot of PC things in the movie - warden was evil; many of the prisoners made to look good and virtuous, etc. The ending was exciting. Thought for the day: for the main character freedom meant out of jail; for the Christian freedom doesn't relate to your circumstance - one of the world's most famous prisoners (Solzhenitsyn) said: thank God for prison - where he learned what true freedom was. Clearplay's filter will get rid of the cursing and the nudity.
