I found one of these at Goodwill the other day for 25 cents. This Tricky Taxi was made by Marx toys in the 1930s and 1940s. It looked quite old, was missing one wheel but I thought I'd get it for a decoration. I don't have the wind up key, so I wondered how well they worked...so off to Youtube and sure enough there's an example:
