SOME THOUGHTS ON WHY AMERICANS WORK SO MUCH
more than others from "the workplace prof" One thought is: that marginal tax rates explain virtually all of [the] difference (high tax rate = less incentive to work. Another thought: America's society is the first to suggest that work could be something other than a punishment or penance. I can think of some other common sense reasons...anyone else?
