PG-13 Married Life
From ClearPlay Newsletter #203: "Married Life presents itself as a comedy, judging by the somewhat whimsical opening credits. Though it might be darkly humorous, the cynical undertones of not really knowing one’s spouse may be too dark for most ClearPlay audiences. The story is thoughtful if plodding, and the performances are spot on. It’s recreation of life and mores in the late 1940s is stylish. But here’s the kicker: Though the ending might be strangely hopeful, it ultimately leaves an indelibly eerie taste in the mouth.
The ClearPlay Filter picks out what few pieces of offensive language and references there are, but themes of infidelity and attempted murder are enough to have the kids sit this one out. Perhaps okay for mature teens and adults as a cautionary tale."
