The Web Urbanist identifies "The Coolest Places You Never Played as a Kid" It is interesting to me that they report that reasonable risk is healthy for kids. I am not sure why this is such an epiphany. In the experience of many it is risk that develops character. Whether it is Shakleton's acceptance of risk to cross the South Pole, or Mother Theresa's risk to stem the holocaust of abortion, risk which in the community of Christ followers is often synonymous with faith, defines and refines Christian character. I have a question for today's teens and all of us. What are we risking for Jesus? Are you and I defined by our faith in Jesus and the risk it brings? Hey I have an idea, lets all get out of our preconceived playgrounds and into life that Jesus calls us to.
