A PORTABLE WATER PURIFICATION DEVICE named lifestraw. Instructions are simple; take out of package, stick in water, suck. It filters most harmful organisms out. It'll last about a year after it's first use. It costs only a couple bucks. The only online seller I found charges $15. Either way it seems like an essential item to include in any relief package that is being sent to impoverished countries.
