movie blurb...movies for dysfunctional families

I was listening to a radio show while driving yesterday. The topic was movies that are good to watch if you are having relatives over for the holidays...and the relationship is...dysfunctional and acrimonius...and you're hoping the vacation will end with hugs. They came up with 10 and I'll list those I remember: 1) The Great Santini, cus if you think your relationship is bad, someone's is worse. 2) Moonsturck, reconcilliation and hugs. 3.) On Golden Pond, reconcilliation and hugs. 4.) Die Hard, occurs at Christmas and reconcilliation between Bruce and spouse, rated R but Clearplay has filter. 5.) It's a Wonderful Life, warm fuzzy. 6.) The Three Faces of Eve. 7.) The Big Fish. 8.) It Happened One Night. They say this is one of best movies of ALL time. I've never seen it but am willing. How people made it through the Depression Era...
